A less structured day without time pressures and you set the agenda. Just you and your guide in a free-flowing day customized to your personal preference and ability.
This day can be about learning and gaining experience in the mountains, about practicing and improving a particular set of skills or skiing your favourite run over and over until the sun sets. We’re here to help you make it happen!
Konrad has been guiding in Europe for over 25 years and can provide customized private trips throughout the Alps.
All trips will be based out of the huts in the area we climb/ski. These huts provide food and accommodation. We carry our day packs from hut to hut while we climb/ski some of the most significant peaks in the Alps.
LOCATIONS
This is where you find some of the best backcountry ski touring in the world. There is no other place you can drive your car to directly access such a wide variety of terrain.
You will find amazing tree skiing and endless alpine terrain with magnificent vistas. It is a “must-visit” for any backcountry skier.
The town of Revelstoke is situated between two mountain ranges. The Columbia River separates the Monashee Mountains and the Selkirk Mountains and both are accessible from town. The amount of snowfall we experience in this region is out of this world.
Staying near town is ideal for our first day out, the quick access allows us to focus on our safety training without impeding on a full day of skiing. Also, on those very snowy days we can avoid driving on the highway and enjoy the great tree skiing close to town.
There is plenty to explore from the top of Revelstoke Mountain Resort.
This is a great option to experience the backcountry with quick and easy access. See it as a bonus day to your experience at RMR.
